Demand and Supply Planning Lead to manage the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of products within our Tissue Paper, Hygiene, and Cleaning Solutions business.Strong expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, supply planning processes, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
It involves driving the demand and supply planning strategy, leading the S&OP process, collaborating with multiple departments, and ensuring that products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the optimal cost
- Lead and manage the S&OP process, aligning demand and supply plans to ensure business objectives are met.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and finance teams to create a robust and accurate S&OP plan.
- Conduct monthly S&OP meetings, presenting forecasts, supply plans, and key recommendations to Supply Chain Director.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting models based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights to ensure accurate demand projections.
- Monitor demand patterns and make adjustments to forecasts in alignment with sales, marketing and warehouse teams.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional campaigns and new product launches into forecasts.
- Lead the development of the supply planning strategy, ensuring a balance between inventory levels, holding capacity and customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, optimizing warehouse space and reducing costs.
- Collaborate with procurement manager to ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee order fulfilment processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance service levels.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, production, and finance teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of supply chain operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply, cost optimization, and quality standards.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on demand and supply trends.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement best practices in demand and supply planning to achieve operational excellence.
- Prepare and present detailed demand and supply planning reports to Supply Chain Director.
- Analyze performance data to assess the effectiveness of forecasting, planning, and inventory management processes.
Requirements:
- Education: MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications: CISCP, CPM, or similar certifications in supply chain management and planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in demand and supply planning, with at least 5 years in the FMCG sector (both food and non-food).
- S&OP Expertise: Proven experience in managing and executing the S&OP process, with a deep understanding of its role in aligning business strategy with operational execution
- FMCG (Food and Non-Food), Hygiene and Chemicals Industries
- Excellent command on English (Arabic would be an advantage.)
- Proficient in Demand forecasting, Inventory management, and Supply Planning tools/ software.
- Proficient in MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint, and Power-BI
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central, SAGE, Oracle Net-Suite, or Odoo)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
