Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, team performance, and adherence to company policies. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing all front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations.
• Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to maintain high performance and morale.
• Manage daily cash handling, deposits, and financial reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and control food/beverage costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and staff performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on promotions, marketing, and events.
• Step in to cover the Restaurant Manager's duties during absences.

• Proven experience in restaurant management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
