Joinery Production Inspector

Our Multi National Interior Fit-Out & Joinery Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Joinery Production Inspector to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Joinery / Production Inspector for Furniture, FF&E, Joinery & Interior projects looking after QA / QC for high profile projects.
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Management team on the ISO quality management accreditations.
- Support & contribute to the maintenance of the Client’s Integrated Management System, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, Client requirements, and all relevant regulatory standards.
- Support the implementation of the IMS and quality practices to enforce quality management principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support & contribute to the PQI reporting on applicable projects, ensuring full compliance is targeted monthly.
- Support the surveillance and monitoring of activities to guarantee compliance with established processes, procedures, and contractual obligations, thereby achieving the required level of construction quality.
- Ensure that continuous monitoring of compliance with quality standards is integrated into daily operations.
- Ensure that reporting on quality aspects is conducted diligently and accurately.
- Ensure all project documentation is produced in adherence with the project requirements, including but not limited to Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans, Material Inspection Requests, Work Inspection Requests and Project Quality Plans.
- Ensure NCR reporting procedure is fully coordinated, documented and actioned in a timely manner.
- Responsible for implementation of quality site training and awareness through TBT’s with regards to inspection hold point, good practices and impact (cause & effects) on quality risks identified at project level for staff, operatives and subcontractors as applicable.
- Perform work inspection and material testing as outlined in the ITP’s to ensure quality standards are met and right ‘first-time’ approval is achieved.
- Support & contribute to informative reports, presentations, and executive summaries for stakeholders as applicable.
- Perform other quality related tasks as applicable or required.
Requirements:
- Appropriate degree or diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the quality & construction / joinery industry.
- Certified ISO 9001:2015 Auditor certification is preferable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in utilizing software such as ACONEX.
- Experience & knowledge in drafting quality-related documentation.
- Good understanding and documenting workflows and business processes.
- Capable of handling multiple conflicting priorities and working under stringent deadlines.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- UAE Driving license is essential for factory visits
