Job purpose

Our SkyCargo group works in partnership to facilitate global trade and connect customers with their destinations. We have a young, efficient, wide-bodied fleet, with ample capacity to transport cargo through our state-of-the-art, multi-airport hub in Dubai and adapt to our customers' ever-changing needs.

As vice president of cargo pricing and interline (EK), you will develop and drive tactical and strategic pricing policies, strategies and market initiatives for EK SkyCargo products, services and interline to maximise point of sale performance and optimise revenue across the network.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and lead the implementation of strategic pricing policies, price distribution and strategies that realise revenue targets across the network by taking into consideration price positioning and market segmentation.
• Lead the development, negotiation and implementation of tactical pricing initiatives to react to market changes, strengthen market position and take advantage of opportunities to create a sustainable yet profitable competitive advantage.
• Develop and maintain relationships to support the negotiation and development of multilateral and bilateral interline partnerships internationally in support of defined business objectives.
• Develop and implement performance tracking measures to monitor and track the performance of all pricing programs so that modification can take place, where required, to optimise revenue generation.
• Keep abreast of market conditions and economic trends and their impact on pricing strategies, anticipate changing trends and proactively implement adjustments to existing pricing plans ensuring that revenue targets are not compromised.
• Identify, design and drive technological enhancements to new or existing computer software systems and databases to improve productivity, provide comprehensive pricing management information and support pricing decision making.
• Represent EK SkyCargo at a national and international level by maintaining a presence at professional events and networks, building and maintaining business relationships to ensure that the company's interests are protected and opportunities maximised.
• Manage an efficient and cost effective resource strategy, drive the development of a high performance culture across the business and inspire and motivate the team towards a shared vision.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or honours with 12+ years of experience in logistics or cargo.
• Experience in revenue management and pricing optimisation.
• Experience in a functional head of department role is essential.
• Industry related experience is essential.

Knowledge and skills:

• Specialist knowledge of revenue management.
• Ability to design and implement new processes, guidelines, standards and policies that impact multiple groups within an organisation.
• Previous success adopting new pricing frameworks.
• Ability to influence change.
• Proven track record as a change agent.
• Superior analytical skills with a strong understanding of technical applications.
• Experience navigating and working within a complex and geographically distributed organisation.
• Understanding of international cargo regulations and legal requirements.
