QA/QC Manager – Landscapes

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control functions across multiple landscape construction projects in Dubai. The role is heavily focused on project execution quality, including inspections, material approvals, compliance, and close-out processes.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in client and main contractor engagement, ensuring all works meet project specifications, authority requirements, and international quality standards. This position also involves building and managing a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across all project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project QA/QC Management

• Establish and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Lead quality control processes across softscape, hardscape, and irrigation works.

1. Site Inspections & Quality Control

• Oversee and participate in daily, weekly, and milestone-based inspections.
• Coordinate and attend inspections with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Ensure proper documentation and sign-off for all inspection stages.
• Monitor site execution to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and material submittals.

1. Material Submissions & Approvals

• Manage the full lifecycle of material submittals including review, compliance checks, and approvals.
• Conduct material inspections upon delivery to site and ensure conformity with approved samples/specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure only approved materials are used.

1. Snagging, De-snagging & Project Close-Out

• Lead pre-handover inspections, snagging, and de-snagging processes.
• Ensure timely closure of snags and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Oversee preparation of handover documentation, including as-built drawings and quality records.
• Ensure successful project close-out in line with client expectations and contractual requirements.

1. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

• Identify, document, and manage NCRs across all projects.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track closure timelines.
• Analyze recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Team Leadership & Development

• Build, manage, and mentor a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors across multiple sites.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for junior QA/QC staff.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance quality awareness and technical competency.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Attend project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Maintain strong working relationships to ensure smooth inspection approvals and project delivery.

1. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, project specifications, and relevant international standards (ISO 9001).
• Maintain all quality documentation, reports, and records in line with audit requirements.

1. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management.
• Track inspection approvals, NCR status, and overall quality performance across projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in landscape construction
• UAE Driving License is a MUST
