The General Education Department at the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences is seeking dynamic and qualified candidates for a full-time faculty position in English Language / TEFL. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate English language courses and contribute to curriculum innovation, student engagement, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in English language and TEFL.
- Develop and implement innovative, student-centered teaching strategies.
- Contribute to curriculum design and continuous course improvement.
- Engage in scholarly research aligned with the departments focus areas.
- Foster inclusive and collaborative learning environments.
- Support departmental activities and university-wide initiatives.
- Masters degree in English, TEFL, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of college-level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use innovative and effective teaching methodologies.
- Active or developing research agenda in relevant fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Evidence of course development and academic program contribution.
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to encourage critical thinking and student engagement.
- Canadian qualifications or academic experience at a Canadian university.
- Demonstrable linkage or affiliation to Canada/North America.
- Established or emerging connections with industry leaders and potential to build university-industry partnerships.
