Senior Commercial Manager
Job Description
We are currently supporting a well established contracting business in Abu Dhabi with the search for a Senior Commercial Manager.
This opportunity is with a company operating heavily across the construction equipment rental space, with a strong focus on serving the construction sector.
We are looking for a senior commercial professional who understands this market inside out. This is not a pure sales role. The ideal candidate will already have strong client relationships within the equipment rental industry and a proven track record of driving commercial growth, client retention, strategic partnerships, and long term business value across the sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial function and drive revenue growth across the equipment rental business
- Manage and expand relationships with existing clients across the construction market
- Identify and secure new commercial opportunities within the equipment rental space
- Work closely with leadership to shape commercial strategy, pricing approach, and market positioning
- Negotiate major commercial agreements and ensure strong contract management
- Monitor market activity, competitor movement, and client demand to support business decisions
- Strengthen the company's presence with key contractors, developers, and industry stakeholders
- Support the wider business in improving profitability, utilization, and long term client engagement
Requirements:
- Strong experience in a senior commercial role within the construction equipment rental industry
- Existing clientele and market relationships within the equipment rental business is essential
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build, maintain, and grow strategic accounts
- Solid understanding of the construction market in the UAE, ideally Abu Dhabi
- Proven ability to lead commercial discussions, negotiate effectively, and close high value opportunities
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with leadership teams
- This role is suited to someone coming from the equipment rental market, not general sales
