Quality Control Assistant Manager/Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing support, coaching, and guidance on quality-related issues to enhance and develop trading activities.
• To prevent any probable quality claim from customers by checking producer and loading operation to ensure whether quality of cargoes is in line with customer needs and contract requirements.
• Identify and evaluate new sources of clinker, cement, and other cementitious materials.
• Monitor and report on the quality performance of current products.
• Collect and analyze quality data and customer feedback.
• Give technical support to traders, enhancing their trading activities within their area of responsibility by understanding the technical needs of their customers better and improving overall customer satisfaction.
• Review and interpret analysis results of cement, raw materials, and fuels against applicable standards and contract requirements.
• Verify quality terms in contracts to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain.
• Handling department related documentation. Making sure all documentation is properly stored and recorded.

Qualifications:

• University degree, preferably in chemical engineering, civil engineering, material engineering or a related field with graduation in the top 20% from a reputable university.
• Excellent command of English.
• 5+ years of experience in the cement sector is a must for Assistant Manager, 2+ years of experience in the cement sector is a must for Engineer.
• A strong understanding of clinker, cement, cementitious products, and coal is an asset.
• Willingness for extensive overseas travel and having ability to work flexible hours.
• Self-motivated professional and a team-player with excellent communication.
• Able to handle stress with full dedication to work in a challenging, multinational, complex and fast-paced environment.
