Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose

The primary purpose and responsibility of this job is to ensure all materials are dispatched and delivered on time in the most cost-efficient way in order to avoid delays by sourcing the right shipping forwarders in accordance with the company policy and standards.

To set up procedures for easy flow of information between Supplier, Service Providers, Crystal Cargo, and Warehouse.

• Coordinate with suppliers for shipment ready dates in accordance with need by dates as per purchase order. Liaise with buyers for correct Incoterms.
• Coordinate with inventory planning for required shipping mode as per stock levels.
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory planning for stock requirements and expedite shipment accordingly for replenishment in time to avoid nil stock situations.
• Monitor shipment departures and arrivals as per shipping mode advised to supplier.
• Negotiate and source freight forwarder as per requirement.
• Monitor on-time receipt of original documents from suppliers in accordance with customs regulations. Deliver original documents to clearing agent.
• Coordinate between clearing agent and warehouse for on-time delivery of shipments.
• Check and process forwarder and clearing agent invoices to accounts. Liaise between supplier, buyer, and accounts.
• Arrange shipments for various projects and marketing department.
• Use Oracle logistics module.

Requirements

Qualification & Education:

• Degree level preferred.
• Secondary high school level.
• Computer overviews and concepts.

Experience:

• Preferred 3+ years in airline industry with logistics and supervisory skills, handling shipment of materials.
• Excellent documentation and follow-up skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with computer competency.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and accomplish team objectives.
• Multi-task management.
• Monitor and report items, categories, and business trends within assigned categories.

Training & Knowledge:

• On-the-job training for logistics on shipping and dispatch process, warehousing, workshops on job-related and career development.
• Training in international logistics.
