Employment: Full Time

Job purpose

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of power and water desalination plant facilities ensuring compliance with safety rules, environmental standards, and operational procedures.

• Operate and monitor field equipment to maintain plant performance.
• Carry out inspections, adjustments, and routine operational tasks.
• Apply isolations and act as designated person under safety rules.
• Record readings, report abnormalities, and support control room engineer/shift manager.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safe practices, and environmental requirements.
• Perform handovers, assist in emergency situations, and support cross-training activities.

• Diploma, degree, or technical qualification (mechanical or electrical).
• Three years’ experience in power and desalination plant operations.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical isolations (designated person role).
• Knowledge of P&IDs, SLDs, and plant operating procedures.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Physically fit for shift work in a plant environment.
