Position Overview
Dale Ventures F.Z.E. is seeking a strategic, analytical, and operations-focused Analyst to join our growing Investments team in Dubai.
This is a high-impact role that provides exposure to a broad range of industries and business models. The Analyst will work directly with both the VP, Investments (Canada) and the CEO (Dubai), jointly reporting to them, while collaborating closely with global team members and portfolio companies.
Initially, this role will be remote, with a planned transition to a hybrid model based out of our office in Dubai (Marina).
The ideal candidate will have 25 years of experience and bring strong problem-solving, operational, and analytical skills, with the flexibility to handle both structured responsibilities and ad-hoc requests that arise in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Strategy & Portfolio Management- Partner with portfolio company leadership to diagnose business challenges and develop actionable strategies for improving efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
- Lead and support operational projects such as process redesign, organizational restructuring, go-to-market planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Track portfolio company performance through key operational and financial metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide hands-on support to ensure the successful implementation of operational enhancements.
- Identify growth opportunities within portfolio companies, including new markets, product launches, and business model improvements.
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with each companys long-term vision and objectives.
- Build detailed business cases and financial models to evaluate potential growth initiatives and investments.
- Research emerging trends and identify high-potential investment opportunities across target sectors.
- Support due diligence processes, including operational assessments, market analysis, and valuation work.
- Work collaboratively with legal, finance, and other functions to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Conduct deep industry and competitive analyses to inform both investment and operational strategies.
- Monitor regulatory developments, market shifts, and technological trends that could affect portfolio companies.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investment committees.
- Manage ad-hoc requests from the CEO and VP, Investments, often involving strategic problem-solving, research, and rapid turnaround deliverables.
- Take initiative on emerging priorities, adapting to shifting business needs in a dynamic environment.
- Act as a key bridge between Dubai, Canada, and other global teams, ensuring alignment and consistent execution.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive excellence and impact across portfolio companies and investment activities.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and business case development.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, including the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability and an entrepreneurial mindset suited to dynamic, fast-paced, and high-growth environments.
- Comfort working on both structured initiatives and unstructured, ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Eligibility to work in the UAE is required applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UAE at the time of application.
