Guidance Supervisor - Emirati

Job Description

Role Summary

The Emirati Guidance Supervisor supports student discipline, behaviour, attendance, wellbeing and national identity. The role works closely with students, parents, teachers, supervisors and the School Leadership Team to maintain a safe, respectful and well-disciplined learning environment.

• Monitor students during arrival, dismissal, breaks, assemblies and movement between lessons.
• Support student behaviour, discipline and attendance.
• Guide students to follow school rules, UAE values and respectful conduct.
• Deal with student concerns calmly and professionally.
• Support students personal, social and emotional development.
• Communicate with parents regarding attendance, behaviour and student wellbeing when required.
• Maintain proper records of incidents, actions taken and parent communication.
• Report serious behaviour, safeguarding or safety concerns immediately.
• Support national events, assemblies and activities promoting UAE culture and identity.
• Assist with student leadership, citizenship and community programmes.
• Work closely with teachers, supervisors, counsellors and school leaders.
• Support emergency procedures, student safety and school security requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, parents and staff.
• Carry out other related duties assigned by the Principal or Management.
• Qualifications and Experience
• UAE National.
• Male or female candidates may apply.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a school, university, military, police, national service, student affairs, guidance, counselling or supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE culture, values and national identity.
• Good communication skills in Arabic; English communication skills are preferred.
• Ability to manage students firmly, fairly and respectfully.
• Strong observation, organisation and reporting skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during difficult situations.
• Good conduct and professional appearance.
• Must meet all ADEK and school approval requirements.
