Senior Technical Manager

Job Description

A leading main contractor specialising in infrastructure projects is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Manager to oversee and support the technical delivery of multiple infrastructure projects across the region. This is a senior leadership role requiring in-depth technical expertise, strong coordination skills, and experience managing teams across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic technical leadership across several infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and public realm works.
• Manage and coordinate all engineering, design, and technical functions to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project directors, construction managers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Review and approve design documents, method statements, and technical submissions, ensuring constructability and adherence to specifications.
• Monitor technical performance and quality on all active sites and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and delivery.
• Support tendering and pre-construction phases by providing technical input and value engineering recommendations.
• Lead and mentor a team of technical engineers and site-based professionals across multiple projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior technical management role for a main contractor.
• Proven track record deliveringinfrastructure projects in the GCC, including roads, utilities, or large-scale public works.
• Strong understanding of local authority requirements, design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently in a high-pressure environment.
