About The Role

The Bids and Contracts manager is responsible for end‑to‑end commercial management of bids, commercial proposals, and contract development for VentureOne's advanced technology, IP‑led, services, and integrated solution offerings. The role ensures all deals are commercially viable, policy‑compliant, risk‑managed, and margin protective, while supporting business growth across government and strategic customers.

This is a 12-month contract position.

Key Responsibilities

Bid & Proposal Management
  • Lead the end-to-end process for RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and direct negotiations.
  • Own pricing strategy, cost build‑ups, margin structuring, and commercial assumptions.
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Technical, Finance, Legal, and Delivery teams to submit compliant, competitive bids
Pricing & Commercial Governance
  • Develop and validate pricing models for projects, IP licensing, managed services, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing policies, minimum margin thresholds, and approval authorities.
Commercial Proposal Development
  • Prepare clear and executable technical and commercial proposals covering pricing, payment terms, milestones, technical scope, schedules, assumptions, exclusions, and change control mechanisms.
  • Support senior management approvals with commercial summaries and financial analysis.
Contract Development & Negotiation
  • Lead commercial contract structuring in collaboration with Business development and Legal.
  • Own commercial terms including pricing mechanisms, payment milestones, indexation, and change management.
  • Participate in customer and partner negotiations within approved commercial parameters.
Risk & Stakeholder Management
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, financial, and contractual risks.
  • Coordinate the IP due diligence and risk mitigation strategies for the project along with legal, technical and Business development team.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8–12+ years experience in commercial management, pricing, contracts, or bid management
  • Strong expertise in pricing, costing, margin management, and financial modelling
  • Experience in technology, engineering, consulting, or government‑facing environments preferred
  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts and negotiation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or related field
