Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Target Achievement:
  • Report to the Sales Manager and lead the Electrical Sales Team to ensure they achieve their sales targets and accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Take ownership of business development with End Users and EPCs within the Oil & Gas sector, as well as other major industrial sectors in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with End Users, EPC contractors, and industry stakeholders to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Business Development & Project Identification:
  • Focus on major projects announced in Abu Dhabi and UAE, particularly in the Oil and Gas and Power sectors, to identify business opportunities and generate inquiries.
  • Conduct thorough research and follow up on quotations, working on tenders and sales proposals to convert opportunities into secured orders.
  • Client & Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, end users, and suppliers, ensuring excellent collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to craft customized proposals that align with client requirements and specifications.
  • Sales Forecasting & Market Intelligence:
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and timely market intelligence to management, ensuring they are updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes.
  • Sales Process & Team Management:
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from sourcing opportunities to post-order handling, ensuring smooth and effective execution.
  • Manage and guide the electrical sales team, ensuring effective performance, coordination, and achievement of targets.
  • Maintain and update the sales database and ERP software regularly to track sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunities.
  • Site Surveys & Integration Work:
  • Independently conduct site surveys and inspections for the estimation of site integration work of MV/HV Switchgear, protection relay replacement, UPS, etc., and liaise with the technical team for integration solutions.
  • Take responsibility for both onshore and offshore assignments related to electrical assets development.
  • Ethics & Safety:
  • Always follow the highest ethical standards and values in business operations.
  • Show a strong commitment to health and safety throughout all activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • At least 14 years of techno-commercial experience in the Abu Dhabi Oil and Gas market, preferably with excellent network connections within ADNOC and EPC contractors, as well as with end users in sectors such as oil and gas, power plants, etc.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in the electrical capital goods sector.
  • Experience in managing and leading a sales team, with demonstrated ability to drive team performance and meet business goals.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical capital goods such as MV/HV Switchgear, UPS, Transformers, Battery Banks, Battery Chargers, Protection Panels, Alternators, etc.
  • Experience in sales of electrical assets, particularly in the oil and gas and power sectors.
  • Service/technical exposure to electrical assets like switchgear, UPS, transformers, etc., is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Educational Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Technical & Computer Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Experience delivering product presentations to multiple levels within client organizations.
  • Familiarity with ERP software for sales tracking and management.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage a team and ensure efficient execution of team activities and project targets.
