Ideal candidate will understand the processes and decision making in Oilfield Services, NOC, IOC's and Drilling Contractors.
Responsibilities- Oversee the successful management of the entire sales cycle: lead generation, initial pitching, evaluation, account management, follow up, proposals, tenders, pricing, and contractual negotiations, and closing agreements
- Follow up on high value tenders
- Identify and develop new leads from existing accounts
- Develop sales plans to introduce products in new markets.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution to ensure extraordinary customer experience throughout the sales process
- Implement strategic sales plans to source, secure and maintain clients
- Develop and monitor an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process
- Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing customer potential in designated regions
- Evaluate customer and market requirements through market research / business intelligence activities, as well as competitor strategies through competitive analysis and benchmarking
- Keep being informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
- Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogues, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.
- Develop and grow good personal relationships with buyers and commercial team to make SOF a preferred supplier.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to keep up to date and maintain market and product awareness.
- Analyse costs and sales.
- Support the continued implementation of lean practices within the company while working with the team to secure new business.
- Manage client relationships, assist in and develop the partnering philosophy.
- Identify manufacturers with value added products to expand SOF portfolio
- Maximize margin by both negotiating with customer and suppliers on price.
- Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
- Provide service excellence in ensuring that all service operations are made in a professional manner and that every reasonable precaution is taken to avoid any delay.
- Operate the business in a manner that creates a high degree of customer satisfaction and a favourable community image.
- Travel to visit potential clients and register the company into the vendors list.
- Oversee the process for rejected material, promptly liaising with suppliers to re-supply ensuring excellent customer service is maintained.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Business Unit Manager detailing and evaluating sales activities, prices benchmarking, competitor mapping and any other sales-related activities
- Support the marketing team to develop and implement a Marketing plan supporting the sales strategy and plan
- Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
- Manage conflicts and come up with effective negotiation and sales strategies.
- Gather competitor information and industry trends and communicate with management as needed
- Record and maintaining client contact data.
- Be responsible for account receivable for clients.
- Coordinate sales projects, administering client accounts and offering after-sales support services.
- Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
- Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers within the Oracle data base.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering All streams, Preferably in Petroleum or related field.
- Understands processes and decision making in Oilfield Services, NOC, IOC's and Drilling Contractors.
- Minimum of five years experience in the Oil and Gas technical sales/business development
- Minimum of five years experience in the Oil & Gas service sector with hands-on engineering/technical
- Demonstrate a strong network across O&G operators in the UAE and GCC
- Collaborative team player and able to influence and drive key business initiatives that bring bottom-line impact and streamline operations while complying with internal policies and procedures.
