Asset Controller
Job Description
Job Purpose:
A proactive and detail-oriented asset and inventory professional responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all assets and consumable inventory across the Housekeeping division. This role ensures effective asset control, adherence to audit standards, and supports operational efficiency through timely reporting and strategic stock planning.The Asset Controller will coordinate with supervisors, storekeepers, and the procurement team to ensure equipment, tools, and consumables are accounted for, distributed correctly, and maintained in good condition. This role also involves ensuring compliance with all policies and providing cost control and usage tracking insights.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory and Asset Control -
Maintain an up-to-date log of all assets (machines, equipment, tools, consumables) used in the Housekeeping division. Ensure accurate documentation of issuance, transfers, and returns. Conduct physical audits monthly and report discrepancies.
Data and System Management
Ensure all asset and inventory data are recorded in the INFO EAM system. Generate and analyze reports related to asset utilization, loss, repair status, and replacements. Maintain barcoding and tagging systems for assets.
Infrastructure and Event Readiness
Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors to forecast asset and material needs for events and infrastructure tasks. Provide required items in a timely manner with complete checklists.
Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge:
- Minimum high school certificate or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training in asset/inventory management, facilities, or housekeeping operations preferred.
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in inventory control, asset tracking, or facility operations.
- Experience in using computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., INFO EAM) is advantageous.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with asset tagging, stock movement logs, and control procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Proactive, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of asset control protocols and inventory management systems.
- Ability to generate reports and maintain documentation logs.
- Exposure to audit procedures and compliance checks related to housekeeping assets and equipment.
