Overview
The Multi-Asset Trader operates within a leading wealth management firm at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This role is responsible for the execution of client orders across a spectrum of asset classes, including global equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives, while ensuring compliance with international trading standards and internal policies.The position demands effective communication with clients, front, and back office teams during US & Asian trading hours.
Key Responsibilities- Trade Execution
- Execute and allocate client orders with precision across multiple asset classes: Global equities, fixed income, FX and Derivatives.
- Manage trading activities, monitor positions, and ensure adherence to risk and liquidity parameters.
- Respond promptly to client instructions, providing market color and trade ideas where appropriate.
- Ensure execution quality and cost effectiveness, minimizing slippage and transaction costs.
- Risk & Compliance
- Monitor trading limits and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Maintain robust knowledge of exchange rules, and regulatory changes relevant to US and regional markets.
- Support compliance with market abuse controls and other financial crime preventative measures.
- Front Office & Client Services
- Serve as a primary point of contact for VIP/high-net-worth clients trading during US hours.
- Liaise with relationship managers to support client onboarding, documentation, and trade confirmation processes.
- Deliver timely trade reporting and respond to post-trade queries and discrepancies.
- Back Office & Operations
- Coordinate with operations and settlements teams to ensure accurate post-trade processing and reconciliation.
- Assist in resolving trade breaks, monitoring trading limits, and end-of-day position reporting.
- Support middle and back office in P&L, exposure, and performance reporting.
- Product & Market Knowledge
- Stay current with market trends across multiple asset classes.
- Understand product structures, pricing, and settlement processes.
- Participate in internal product and compliance training as required.
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Finance or relevant subject
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Familiar with multiple trading systems
- 3-5 years experience working in international markets
- Can-do attitude
- Immediate availability
- SCA Licensed candidates preferred
- Rotational shifts availability - primarily US + Asian hours
- Work with a leading team of professionals with a long track record of building large and successful wealth and asset management franchises in the DIFC
