Sales Director – Freight Forwarding & Logistics
Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Sales Director to drive business growth in the freight forwarding and logistics sector, based out of our Dubai headquarters. The ideal candidate will bring deep market knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in driving revenue and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial strategy for freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Road) services in the GCC and wider MENA region
Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities and enterprise-level accounts
Maintain and expand strong relationships with key clients and partners
Oversee the development of high-impact proposals, tenders, and pricing strategies
Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and customer service to ensure client satisfaction and delivery excellence
Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform business development strategies
Mentor and support the development of junior commercial team members (if applicable)
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales
At least 35 years in a leadership or director-level commercial role
Strong knowledge of air, sea, and road freight solutions
Existing portfolio or network of regional or multinational clients
Deep understanding of the UAE and GCC logistics landscape
Bachelor&aposs degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA is a plus)
Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills
