Senior Specialist, Business Management
Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for overseeing and managing assigned assets to ensure optimal performance and value creation.Requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry and the
oil and gas industry, as well as the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and technological
advancements.
Reviews and controls asset management activities from strategic plans and governance perspectives. Itincludes performing business analytics and financial analysis, such as cost control and operations cost
management, and providing financial insights to support the business line by anticipating changes and
recommending actions.
Job Specific:
u00B7 Coordinate and develop the performance scorecard for assigned business asset, including development andchallenging the performance measures and targets when available.
u2022 Monitor the performance management framework and the KPIu2019s reported data and highlight he gaps and/orissues across the assigned asset.
u00B7 Provide and review the analysis of the performance scorecards on monthly basis and assist the assigned assetto mitigate areas of concerns to realize the strategic objectives in line with ADNOCu2019s Vision and Mission in the
short and long term.
u00B7 Support Business strategy through the design and monitoring of relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)assigned to the strategy action plans.
u00B7 Support and Deliver Ad hoc requirements received from Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading.
Leadership Business Performance Management:
u00B7 Support in reviewing of Assigned business asset Annual and five-year business plans related to HSE, Marketing, Operations, Reliability, availability, Asset utilization, manpower and finance with emphasis on
emissions, energy savings, maximizing plant utilization and optimizing maintenance costs to ensure alignmentwith corporate business plans.
u00B7 Support in audits and contribute in analysis of benchmarking studies to enhance competitiveness andprofitability.
u00B7 Review implementation of long-term agreements with ADNOC group companies regarding feedstock andutilities supply and payments, in accordance with the terms and conditions of such contracts to avoid any
deviations and discrepancies.
u00B7 Review evaluation and finalization of commercial terms and Development / Amendment of Corporate, Commercial and Technology Agreements. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for the successful completionof the Agreement related matters.
u00B7 Support in the proceedings of the Tender Board and provide relevant technical, financial and risk advice andinformation to Management on all commercial requests, in line with business requirements
u00B7 Coordinate and support the delivery of talking Points required for DM&T CEO (i.e. BOD meeting, EXCOMmeeting, etc)
u00B7 In conjunction with management, contribute to the strategy development and control the implementation of thestrategy with overall compliance.
Business Development and Safeguarding Shareholder Value
u00B7 Support the business development of Assigned business asset and build-up of investment opportunities thatmaximizes financial and shareholdersu2019 returns.
u00B7 Collaborate with ADNOC's Economics, Trading and Intelligence units to accurately evaluate investmentopportunities.
u00B7 Analyse captive opportunities and support the establishment of strategic business development agreementswith the asset and ADNOC Group Companies.
u00B7 Support assigned assetu2019s business growth within open market.
Financial Analysis
u00B7 Proactively identify financial reporting risks and opportunities and translate that into decision-usefulimprovement recommendations.
u00B7 Provide financial analysis and support, anticipating impact of changes in the business environment and makingrecommendations.
u00B7 Develop strategies and prepare budgets and forecasts.
u00B7 Support in prioritizing investment opportunities and capex expenditure to ensure maximum rate of return basedon strategic analyses and financial metrics (e.g. ROCE, IRR, WACC, and NPV).
Risk Management
u00B7 Proactively participate and contribute to the designing, development and establishment of assigned assetintegrated Risk Management Framework while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and recommend
planning, management and control measures to mitigate the identified risks within the Unit.
u00B7 Participate in assigned assetu2019s Business Impact Analysis development and review process.
u00B7 Validate assigned assetu2019s Business Continuity Plan and ensure effective assessment of required systems andresources.
GenericSupervision
u00B7 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
u00B7 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job anddeliver the respective business objectives.
Budgets
u00B7 Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in theimplementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
u00B7 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
u00B7 Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards andprocedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
u00B7 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
u00B7 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
u00B7 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line withbest industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

u00B7 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines inline with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
u00B7 Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
Internal:
u00B7 Daily contact with Line Manager and other team members from the Business.
u00B7 Regular interaction with the Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading Directorate Management for setting upKPIu2019s and monitoring performance.
u00B7 Regular contacts with Group Performance team within HQ and Downstream Industry, Marketing & TradingGroup companies Performance Management team.
u00B7 Occasionally contact with other Directorates within ADNOC for exchange of information and/or discussionpurpose.
u00B7 Regular contact with asset's senior management on management and monitoring of the assetu2019s businessprograms and initiatives.
External:
u00B7 Regular contacts with shareholders to discuss and negotiate various matters at Board meetings.
u00B7 Contacts with external consultants, industry experts and third party service providers as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Economics/ Business Management or Engineering, or equivalent, preferably withspecialized training in performance management systems/processes
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
u2022 10 years of relevant professional experience including 5 years specifically in the Oil and Downstream orMarketing industry.
u2022 Exposure to multiple facets in an integrated energy and petrochemical company.
u2022 Experience in analytical data-driven thinking and decision-making
