Job Description

Job Purpose:

The position is responsible for achieving the revenue and profitability targets set for the Freight Forwarding and Logistics business. This is a profit center head role requiring full ownership of business growth, client development, and operational excellence in the GCC and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the overall revenue and profit targets for the Freight Forwarding & Logistics division.
  • Manage the complete functioning of the profit center from Dubai.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand the customer base locally and internationally.
  • Secure new customers while maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct warehouse marketing activities, especially in the GCC countries.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Logistics, and Supply Chain operations in both UAE and international markets.
  • Handle sales activities with a clear focus on increasing revenue and improving profit margins.
  • Ensure strong understanding and execution of 3PL and 4PL logistics services.
  • Design and execute strategic plans to ensure a strong global presence.
  • Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders including customers, vendors, partners, and competitors.
  • Ensure maximum profitability of each new contract while adhering to agreed service levels and contractual terms.
  • Stay updated on market trends through regular market research and client visits.
  • Take complete ownership of end-to-end sales and marketing activities.
  • Monitor and ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Respond to all sales inquiries within 24 hours, whether domestic or international.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal process standards.
  • Provide weekly sales activity updates to the Executive Director / Head.
  • Track, analyze, and report sales and marketing performance metrics to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in Freight Forwarding & Logistics sales and business development.
  • Experience in warehouse marketing, especially in the GCC region.
  • Strong understanding of 3PL/4PL logistics frameworks.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and close high-value deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Must be based in Dubai and willing to travel across the GCC and internationally when required.
