Estimation Engineer

Industry: Industrial Equipment Trading / Oil & Gas

We are hiring an Estimation Engineer for our client in Dubai. The role involves preparing cost estimates, evaluating tender documents, coordinating with procurement, and supporting technical proposal development. Candidates must have relevant experience in the energy, oil & gas, or power sectors specializing in engineered solutions and supply of heavy-duty technical products and services—such as turbine exhaust systems, diverter dampers, industrial valves, turbine spares, bearings, packaged skid systems, pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, and compressors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to interpret technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates—BOQs, man‑hour calculations, and cost breakdowns—for EPC, O&M, shutdown, and retrofit projects.
• Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for spares, packages, valves, motors, skids, etc., ensuring compliance with project technical needs.
• Collaborate with procurement to negotiate and procure competitive rates.
• Support preparation of technical and commercial bid proposals, aligned with risk guidelines and margin goals.
• Submit RFQs, RFPs, and bids timely and accurately.
• Identify estimation risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Keep cost databases and estimation models current.
• Provide internal reporting on costs, variances, and projected profitability.
• Assist in post‑tender clarifications and client negotiations as required.
