Sr Estimation Engineer - Fitout
You will collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and compliant bids, aligning with company objectives and client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES6.1. Estimation & Costing
Estimation & Costing
▪ Prepare detailed estimates for fit-out, MEP, and civil works based on drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
▪ Analyse project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare cost summaries and tender documents.
▪ Evaluate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
▪ Request and review quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
▪ Maintain updated unit rates, price databases, and historical cost records.
▪ Prepare pricing strategies for competitive bids.
▪ Identify risks and assumptions during estimation and document them clearly.
▪ Value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
Tendering & Bidding
▪ Manage the end-to-end tendering process, including pre-qualification, technical, and commercial submissions.
▪ Coordinate with internal teams to gather all necessary inputs for tender submission.
▪ Ensure all documentation meets client requirements and is submitted within deadlines.
▪ Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
▪ Prepare and present post-tender clarifications and negotiate with clients as required.
Project Handover & Coordination
▪ Provide detailed estimation breakdowns to the project team for execution planning.
▪ Support the procurement team with technical inputs for material and subcontractor sourcing.
▪ Monitor actual costs vs. estimated costs and assist in cost control during project execution.
▪ Revise estimates and support variation claims when changes in scope occur.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
▪ 6 - 8 years of experience in estimation within the interior fit-out industry in the UAE.
▪ Proven experience in handling commercial and technical aspects of tenders independently.
