Responsibilities:
- Translation and content delivery
/u2022 Translate documents seamlessly between Arabic and English, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency.
/u2022 Maintain high-quality standards across all translated materials, reflecting the bank's professional image./u2022 Provide timely delivery of translations to meet business deadlines and priorities.
- Document quality assurance
/u2022 Conduct thorough proofreading of translated and original documents to ensure they are free of errors, inconsistencies, and omissions.
/u2022 Merge and standardize documents from different sources, maintaining a consistent format, structure, and tone./u2022 Regularly review and update document templates to ensure alignment with the bank's evolving policies and standards.
- Risk control and governance
/u2022 Ensure all translated materials adhere to regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements specific to Islamic banking.
/u2022 Identify and mitigate risks related to language misinterpretation, omissions, or inaccuracies in documents./u2022 Implement and uphold quality control measures to maintain the integrity of all internal and external communications.
- External translation review
/u2022 Evaluate the quality of translations delivered by external service providers to ensure alignment with the bank's standards.
/u2022 Provide constructive feedback to improve external translation quality and manage associated risks./u2022 Maintain an approved vendor list for translation services and evaluate their performance regularly.
- Relationship management
/u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to understand translation requirements and ensure alignment with their objectives.
/u2022 Serve as the key point of contact for translation and document quality issues across the organization./u2022 Build and maintain effective relationships with external translation agencies and freelance translators to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Acumen and delivery
/u2022 Stay updated on Islamic banking terminology and industry trends to deliver precise and contextually accurate translations.
/u2022 Ensure that all translated and reviewed materials reflect a strong understanding of the bank's operational, financial, and cultural nuances./u2022 Drive continuous improvement in the translation process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Specialist skills and technical knowledge required for this role- Core competencies
/u2022 Bilingual expertise: Exceptional fluency in Arabic and English, with a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax in both languages.
/u2022 Translation skills: Proven ability to translate complex and technical documents, including legal, financial, and regulatory texts./u2022 Cultural sensitivity: Deep understanding of cultural and linguistic nuances to ensure contextually appropriate translations.
/u2022 Islamic banking knowledge: Familiarity with Islamic banking principles, terminology, and regulatory frameworks.

- Technical proficiency

Qualification and experience
Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field.
Certification: Hold a recognized professional certification in translation.
Minimum of 5+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in the banking or financial sector.Proven expertise in translating complex legal, financial, and regulatory documents.
