Employment: Full Time

Context & Environment

Internal: Production engineer / production supervisor (blending / bulk) / production technician (blending / bulk). Maintenance technician / maintenance supervisor / QC team / packaging engineer / HSSEQ team.

External: Contract manpower suppliers, transport crew, etc. Especially with packaging materials transporters - this role is the first site-level contact point and is critical to ensure the company image.

• Responsible for the filling lines in terms of managing the changeover process, controlling and directing the people in the filling teams, ensuring times are well managed, and machine changeover happens technically well and on time.
• Monitor work area for potential losses and recommend areas for improvement.
• Ensure control and check on the HSSEQ guidelines, procedures, and work instructions as issued, and propose changes.
• Be receptive to new training issues and be a proactive member participating in toolkit meetings for HSSEQ improvements. Also train new operators on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure no quality or safety incidents occur due to negligence, carelessness, or overconfidence.
• Maintain vigilance and care at all times during operation to ensure productivity.
• Be responsible to the production engineer for productivity of the filling lines and able to explain the outcomes logically.
• Manage filling operations in the absence of the production engineer.
• Plan the next fillings as per plan released and arrange for resources with relevant people concerned.
• Perform small maintenance tasks on filling lines independently and troubleshoot using technical competence and skills.
• Packaging plan: daily stock count of packaging materials and assist the production engineer for daily packaging item call-off.
• Efficiently operate all key machines on small pack / drum filling lines such as labelling, robots, filling stations, etc.
• Monitor stock of labels and caps and proactively coordinate with the production engineer to give call-offs for labels and caps before stock levels reach minimum stock level (MSL).
• Conduct weekly and spot counts of packaging material as per standard procedures and provide variance reports and analysis to the production supervisor (stocks) / production engineer.
• Conduct daily toolbox (VMP1) meetings with the filling team addressing safety and other points and follow the handing over mechanism.
• Inspect packaging materials in the absence of the packaging engineer / packaging supervisor.
• Report any non-conformities identified during production and dispatch processes to the production engineer.

• Execute daily filling plan as issued by the planning team.
• Proactively arrange all packaging items on filling lines for the next filling to reduce waiting time.
• Complete filling work orders by accurately updating relevant details with respect to raw material and consumables consumed.
• Close filling work orders in SAP through MES system (Lubcel).
• Efficiently control all ISO systems and other relevant documents and retrieve them as required.
• Perform OEE analysis of filling lines using Lean core tool on a timely basis to obtain best results logically.
• Log breakdown complaints timely in CMMS tools.
• Ensure operability of all quality interlocks at filling lines at all times to achieve no quality complaints from internal or external customers.
• Participate in investigation and analysis of quality complaints as required.
• Train and guide subordinates timely to achieve daily filling targets. Support the production engineer in creating a pool of multi-skilled staff by proactively planning to train subordinates on other operations in lubricants production.
• Be responsible for filling operations at filling lines - drums, pails, and small packs.
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources to assist the production engineer in reaching productivity objectives.
• Ensure operations of the filling line are well coordinated to achieve acceptable productivity levels.
• Participate with the project team in commissioning new equipment.
• Maintain and improve 5S and visual management on filling lines and participate in Kaizen implementation program.
• Participate in PGI (Planned General Inspections).

• Understand and adhere to current regulatory requirements applicable to areas of responsibility.
• Comply with work permit program as per the PTW roles and responsibility assignment: process owner, permit applicant, issuing authority, and approval authority.
• Report near misses, incidents, hazards, and injuries to line manager within the required timeframe as per quality, HSSEQ, and energy policies and manuals.
• Strictly adhere and comply with Group HSSEQ Charter, MAESTRO requirements, and affiliate's HSSEQ policy, procedures, and specific rules and regulations applicable to the area of activity at all times.
• Contribute to, meet, and improve upon the KPI and EnPI targets set towards overall HSSEQ and energy objectives.
• Ensure selection and availability of applicable PPE at all times and enforce strict use of PPE in the work area of responsibility.
• Participate in training programs to acquire HSSEQ knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as required by management.
• Participate in investigation and analysis of incidents as required.
