Procurement Specialist (Indirect Category)
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Procurement Specialist (Indirect Category)who will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities across indirect spend areas such as printing, marketing, and consumables for our client based in Dubai – one of the largest semi-government organizations.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.
The role sits within the Procurement Department and reports directly to the Head of Category Services & Infrastructure.
We are looking for a passionate Procurement Specialist with a strong understanding of indirect sourcing and category management. You should also have experience in using GRP and Tejarior eSupply in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes within categories such as marketing services, printing, and general consumables.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle for indirect categories including RFQs, RFPs, evaluation, and award
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and service level agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and governance standards
- Support demand planning and forecasting for indirect spend categories
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience, with a focus on indirect categories (marketing, printing, consumables, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience handling multiple categories and managing supplier portfolios
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., MS Office, GRP, and Tejari)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive cost optimization initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
