Engineer Service Delivery Network

Job Description

Act as second level of support for the Fault & problem Management process to operate in a proactive manner all du Service Delivery Network that hosting/carrying du different systems/services in all du Data Centers. Secure networks, systems, and infrastructure by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security mechanisms.

Responsible of taking on any Trouble Tickets (network or customer) that cannot be solved by the Front Office and reduce the amount of the TT transferred to the 3rd level support.

• Provide the needed-on time support and troubleshooting for all issues happens in all domains, since connectivity provided through IP.
• Do the needful escalation and involve vendors on time affecting manner in case of need, and ensuring adequate follow up and problem resolution within contracted SLAs.
• Meeting with service owners as customers to understand their problems and giving proper response for their queries.
• Handling daily Trouble Tickets as per du operation policies and scope of work.
• Perform periodic health checks, preventive maintenance service delivery platforms and Data Centres network to identify potential problems or loopholes, and testing the redundancy.
• Implement patches and updates of the service delivery platforms and Data-Centres network devices to resolve any existing/potential bugs or performance issues.
• Prioritize & ensure the execution of performance, preventive maintenance related issues as the owner of the platform
• Work on any network disasters, prepare and implement alternative plans and finally restore network to deliver specified service levels.
• Support all efforts for releasing DR run-books in order to allow for successful service restoration in case of crisis.
• Review, approve, prepare MOP and implement connectivity CRs for different du business needs.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IP telecom security for telecommunication industry
• Deep Knowledge of all Routing/switching Layer 3 and Layer 2 protocols, and high-level layers protocols as per OSI and TCP/IP stacks.
• Should have experience on Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls
• Deep Knowledge of high-end Security firewall, IPSec, DDoS, Anti-SPAM and SSL technologies.
• Should have knowledge in AI, automation & coding
• Deep knowledge in Wireshark analysis.

Minimum education:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in computer, electrical, network Engineering or IT (any telecom equivalent)
• Cisco Certified Professional CCNP (CCIE Preferred) or other industry certification in security domain
