We are recruiting for a senior credit assessor on a 4-month temporary basis to join our team in Dubai. The role reports to head of credit assessment.

The role

The role focuses on assessing businesses for underwriting, monitoring portfolios, preparing sector reports, and collaborating with internal teams. It also involves projects on data sourcing and automation within the credit intelligence department.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing SMEs and large caps with grading assigned that will impact commercial and risk underwriting stance.
  • Assessment in line with Allianz Trade grading methodology (top down approach) and key risk factors by sector.
  • Active monitoring of the portfolio as per sensitivity thresholds and ensuring market presence via buyers visits.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed quarterly sector insights and reports.
  • Interaction and alignment with internal stakeholders (underwriting, commercial, and claims departments).
  • Transversal projects within credit intelligence department focusing on data sourcing and enhanced automation.
Qualification
  • Audit, finance background masters in finance/accounting.
  • CFA or equivalent professional qualification will be a plus.

Experience and skills

Business expertise
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in banking, audit/consulting, or credit insurance industry.
  • Knowledgeable on GCC markets and/or key regional trade sectors.
  • Strong skills in corporate credit analysis.
  • GCC market insights and key sector dynamics.

  • Collaborative mindset with strong team spirit.
  • Negotiation skills to source necessary information and assertiveness in justifying rating decisions to stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to constant change in complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Proactive ownership in decision-making and accountability.
  • High self-motivation and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator with excellent presentation abilities.
  • Basic understanding of commonly used generative AI/GenAI/generative artificial intelligence platforms such as ChatGPT, as well as an awareness of best practices and the potential risks associated with AI in the workplace to apply.
  • English (Arabic will be a plus).
