About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Buyer Food & Beverage to join the resorts Procurement team. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Source, negotiate and procure the correct products and services required by the user departments in
• Maintain current market conditions on required commodities
• Prepare RFQ and RFP documents in accordance with company and departmental policies
• Analyze bid responses so as to make fiscally sound recommendations, documenting supplier
• Resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving documentation and vendor invoices
• Create, develop and maintain productive and proactive business relationships with key suppliers, within strict contractual supply guidelines as directed
• Collaborate with the warehouse and user departments to maintain the right mix of products at appropriate par level
• Conduct periodic quality checks of incoming merchandise in collaboration with personnel from the Business units.
• Assist with the preparation of various monthly reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with technical specifications, compliance with company policies. Monitoring supplier performance SLAs, tracks key metrics, and takes corrective action when required.
• Advise the Manager, Procurement of unusual or remarkable costs, purchases and consumption of inventory and non-inventory items and suggest ways to reduce costs, including alternative sources for product
• Develops and manages procurement budgets, tracks expenditure, and ensuring adherence to budgetary requirements. In doing so identifying opportunities to reduce procurement costs, optimise inventory par levels, and minimises dead stock.
• Assesses and implement measures to mitigate potential risks associated with the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions, long lead acquisition, hedged market price fluctuations, and quality issues.
• Interact across all Food & Beverages Departments and engages with associated stakeholders, suppliers, vendors and contractors. Serves as the point of contact between Food & Beverage Departments and Suppliers in clarifying technical queries, specifications queries, resolve procurement sourcing issues.
• Encourage good relationships with Suppliers, Vendors and End-users in ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications
• Ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement of goods, materials and supplies.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minium of 5 Years prior experience in Hotels & Resorts, Retail, FMCG in purchasing and supply chain.
• Proven experience in pre openings procurement.
• Able to demonstrate negotiation ability, communication and Supply Chain engagement
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, corporate governance and supplier relationship management in a technical roll.
• Knowledge of UAE regulation and markets relating to the procurement of food & beverage operation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making and good organizational logistic planning, and time management skill.
• Minimum higher secondary school certificate or above
• Proficient in MS Office and Procurement software
