Flight Operations Analyst

Employment: Full Time
Major areas of responsibility include
Team focal within Flight Operations Support for analytical, modelling and reporting capabilitiesTableau and BI tool SME
Data dictionary creation and continued in-service mapping
Primary objectives:
Promote a culture of data driven decision makingSupport technical SMEs with data capture, assessment and visualisation
Suggest and develop efficiency proposals u2013 both financial and process related
Specific responsibilities of the job
Act as Flight Operations Support team focal for data analysis and report generationCreate and improve on departmental analysis tools and techniques to drive data value
Support the team technical SMEs with data production, validation and reporting
Ensure liaison and interaction with internal stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Network Planning and Finance for continued data flows and project success
Act as focal for system data integration and reporting projects / ongoing service
Review and analyse budget to operational differences. Help the SMEs conduct and complete root cause analysis and business impact assessments
Ensure that business intelligence supports core departmental tasks and projects
Produce as necessary environmental data reports
Conduct adhoc and future concept analysis as required
Seek optimisation of costs in all aspects of the role and related activities
Maintain awareness of industry activities and represent the department and company as required at conferences / events

Excellent skills in: Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to: Understand complex datasets and analyse complex data flows
Demonstrated ability to: Create reports and project mandates
General knowledge of: Office administration
Education and experience
Minimum GCSE or equivalent, degree in preferred fields of Business / Mathematics / Operational Research or Transport Management ideal.1+ years experience as a business analyst or operational team member within an aviation field responsible for data analysis, interpretation, modelling and project proposals.
Work environment
A normally office based role operating at DXB. Can be required to travel to observe or better understand operational constraints or data capture points.The area can become noisy.
