Design Engineer

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the successful delivery of construction and landscaping projects. The role involves preparing design documentation, CAD drawings, and coordinating with subcontractors, procurement, and consultants to ensure timely and quality execution on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in developing project documents including scope, schedules, and technical plans.
• Prepare basic design drawings, quantity take-offs, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Liaise with field teams and designers to troubleshoot issues and implement design modifications.
• Generate CAD drawings from concept to final submission in line with project requirements.
• Design alignments, profiles, sections, and corridors for infrastructure and landscaping using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Process field and survey data for incorporation into technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and client specifications.
• Prepare topographical and pre-engineering plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in field construction, preferably in landscaping, civil structures, or utilities projects.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
• Strong understanding of civil and landscape design standards.
• Experience with field data processing and survey integration.
