Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Services Representative / Generalist with strong expertise in IBM Storage, IBM Power Systems, and Server/Virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering technical support, system maintenance, and infrastructure optimization across a diverse IT environment.This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of enterprise IT systems and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for IBM Storage solutions
- Administer and troubleshoot IBM Power Systems
- Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware, PowerVM, and KVM.
- Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability.
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Provide on-call support as needed and respond to critical system issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with IBM Storage technologies (configuration, deployment, and support).
- Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems and associated operating systems
- Solid understanding of server and virtualization technologies, including VMware, PowerVM, and Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
