Job summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and versatile Business Analyst to support financial reporting, business analysis, data governance, and quality assurance activities. This hybrid role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely liability reporting, supporting business stakeholders with on-demand analysis, and maintaining high data integrity across systems.The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and capable of balancing both recurring tasks and ad hoc priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities- Requirement gathering: Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with operational goals and regulatory standards.
- Quality assurance: Support the development and execution of test cases to validate that solutions meet business needs and regulatory compliance.
- Continuous improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of business analysis and reporting methodologies.
- Data governance: Monitor and uphold data quality, lineage, and consistency across systems and reports, ensuring reliable and auditable financial and operational data.
- Financial reporting: Build and maintain accurate, timely liability reports, including deferred revenue, prepaid services, and outstanding session balances, supporting financial transparency and planning.
- Ad hoc analysis: Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests from stakeholders, delivering timely insights and tailored reports.
- Leadership support: Assist leadership with one-off data extractions, variance analysis, and development of custom financial metrics to support strategic decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, business analysis, or a related data-focused role
- Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder communication
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to data quality and accuracy
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data
- Prior experience in a regulated or financial environment
