Job Description
The role holder is responsible for managing and guiding the business development team members in order to identify, attract and close business development opportunities across the business vertical, including both new and current business partner opportunities and to provide a seamless customer service process for business partners that encourages maximum revenue and customer retention & satisfaction across the business vertical.
Strategic Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of a business development strategy, plans and budgets to promote pre and post sales and identify business opportunities to achieve the annual sales objectives.
- Proactively achieve new and expansion targets through pursuing and continuously identifying markets, segments, and companies to achieve sales targets and contribute to the identification of new value-added business opportunities using innovative concepts, and considering changes in the market environment, which can be converted into revenue generating opportunities in line with Business objectives.
- Nurture and gain new customers and accounts through efficient networking and negotiations of sales deals in order to build business opportunities and thereby achieve sales targets in line with business objectives.
- Participate in promotional events e.g., road shows, gala dinners, award nights etc. to network with corporate and high net worth potential customers who can be captured as revenue generating customers.
- Proactively develop new, long lasting business partnering relationship with all new and existing key account holders that will enable to obtain effective and collaborative future opportunities for the business vertical in line with the strategy plans.
- Focus on customer service initiatives and develop long lasting relationships with key decision makers, understands and responds to customer needs, tracks, and monitors account activity
- Maintain good relationships with the relevant business community through assisting marketing department inorganizing of networking opportunities, forums, seminars, and customer exposure to ensure that all possible opportunity for business partnering is captured in the best interest of the business thereby increasing potential revenue opportunities.
- Regularly visit key account holders. Develop and maintain client relationship.
- Review the continuous improvement of pre- and post-sales and business development practices taking into account international best practice, changes in international standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
- Carry out analysis of customer satisfaction results to gear the service and products provided to ensure high customer satisfaction and make recommendation to the management to develop new services and products based on customer (new & existing) feedback and requirements.
- Develop and manage the implementation and continuous improvement of the relevant segment strategic plan; develop the International and Regional segment community and initiate or participate in Segment Associations to grow the business
- Coordinate with the Facilities Management team to ensure fit out, ACs, facilities, security, parking, keys and access services are timely completed and implemented to ensure business partner satisfaction.
- Provide leadership within the function, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance in the pursuit of the Departments objectives.
- Build and promote an organization culture that encourages innovation and reward performance that leads to enhanced staff motivation and retention.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelors degree in business administration
Experience:
8 years of business management experience where both business development and customer service were integral to the role. 2 of those years should be in a managerial role.
