Logistics Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and organized Logistics Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily logistics operations across warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of logistics processes within the UAE and demonstrate strong leadership in optimizing operations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing, inbound/outbound transportation, inventory, and last-mile delivery.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods within the UAE and internationally.
• Supervise, train, and lead a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
• Monitor KPIs, implement process improvements, and drive operational efficiency.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport providers to ensure smooth shipments and documentation compliance.
• Ensure accurate stock control, timely dispatches, and inventory reconciliation.
• Enforce health, safety, and regulatory standards across logistics operations.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations to optimize costs.
• Resolve operational issues and proactively identify risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics operations, with proven experience in the UAE logistics ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations, customs clearance, and transport laws.
• Experience with ERP systems and logistics software (WMS, TMS, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• UAE driving license is a plus.
