We are seeking a commercially sharp, analytically driven Financial Analyst to join the team and support key financial planning and analysis functions within the region. Role Summary
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting strategic business decisions by delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The role will collaborate closely with commercial, retail, and supply chain teams, ensuring financial insights are fully integrated into day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting- Support the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans in alignment with global finance teams.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance across business units (retail, wholesale, e-commerce, marketing).
- Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to support internal stakeholders in making informed decisions.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly business performance reports, dashboards, and financial KPIs.
- Partner with retail and commercial teams to analyse sales trends, margin drivers, OPEX, and promotional ROI.
- Monitor store-level performance and support initiatives to improve profitability and productivity.
- Track pricing, product mix, and markdown impacts to assess gross margin trends.
- Develop dynamic financial models and scenario analyses to support commercial strategy and business case development.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments to support financial forecasting and P&L accuracy.
- Evaluate new projects, store openings, or market expansions through financial feasibility analysis.
- Maintain and optimise financial reporting tools, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial data.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing relevant documentation and reconciliations.
- Work with IT and systems teams to improve data flow, automation, and reporting accuracy.
- Act as a finance business partner to departments such as retail operations, marketing, logistics, and HR.
- Help prepare board-level presentations and executive summaries
- Work closely with global finance counterparts to ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, FMCG, or consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, retail finance, and inventory control metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
