We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Technical Instructor on the F-16 aircraft. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.
The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites.The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules.
Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.
Reporting to the Team Lead/ Manager the Technical Instructor will deliver formal, theoretical, regulatory and technical training to personnel and customers; facilitate examinations in-line with the training plan and developed curriculums. Complete and ensure accurate documentation is held on the Learning Management System (LMS).
The operation works a 24 hour shift pattern comprising of 3 x 8 hour shifts so you will be expected to work a mixture of days and nights.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials and resources required for course delivery and ensure availability of all training support.
- Liaise with Training Coordinator/Team Leader and Training Support as necessary to ensure efficient logistical preparation.
- Obtain class lists and training materials/outline from LMS.
- Deliver authorized prepared training courses to personnel and external clients based on pre-determined schedules in accordance with the Course Training Plan.
- Prepare question banks, oversee and mark training examinations and conduct individual assessments as per the Training Plan.
- Develop case studies and scenarios that will aid in training delivery.
- Review, evaluate and amend training material and information necessary for delivery of training.
- Participate in development of all necessary training materials including, but not limited to, course programs and hand-outs needed to meet training needs.
- Collaborate with Training Standards and Compliance on Internal and External Validation.
- Collaborate with Course Developers and Analysts.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation related to training is entered into the Oracle Learning Management System
- Monitor and support student retention.
- Support and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) with the development of training materials including training manuals, classroom material and provide advice on development of instructional material.
- Review training material and curriculum and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Act as first point of contact with customers, seeking to understand and enhance their experience and therefore their perception of the services provided.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls when conducting training.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of instructional and technical training design and delivery processes.

About You:
- Bachelor or Diploma in aviation related subject, plus aviation instructor certification.
- Previous work experience as instructor.
- Relevant certifications in training delivery to include, Methods of Instruction, Course Design & Development and Training Analysis.
- Knowledge of all stages of UAE Systems Approach to Training (SAT), including Quality Standards and Compliance.
- Computer skills Microsoft Office and Oracle LMS.
- Be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must have good knowledge of Special Operations mission requirements, equipment and maintenance programs.
- Strong program management background with a good understanding of contract law and terminology used in aviation contracts.
- A good working knowledge of all computer applications.
- Strong charismatic and delegating attributes.
