What’s on your plate?

• Coordinating and supervising store operations (i.e., selecting people, scheduling shifts, routine and preventive maintenance).
• Ensure efficient utilization of pickers with multitasking roles in order to optimize unit throughput rates (UTRs).
• Ordering / store replenishment: ensure proper stock in stores (no out-of-stock or overstock situations) by assessing the inventory and issuing orders based on the input and assessment of the demand planner plus physical stock assessment.
• Inventory process to ensure adequate stock levels and accurate inventory.
• Inbound receiving: accurate receiving of orders as per policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Outbound: efficient and accurate picking and packing of customer orders, as per SOP.
• Constantly monitor fulfillment processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and profits.
• Supervise assigned store, ensure profitability, provide good service, and ensure development of employees.
• Manage store personnel ensuring effective use of resources and meeting service level standards.
• Monitor, manage, and control costs against the budget, maximizing cost effectiveness of store operations.
• Ensure implementation of actions pertinent to store-related shrinkages.
• Ensure that equipment, infrastructure, etc., in stores are used properly and maintained in good condition at all times.
• Supervise the effective implementation of hygiene, sanitation, security, and safety standards, as well as service level standards, ensuring a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
• Discuss with the operations manager store issues and problems and propose solutions.
• Supervise all maintenance internal activities and third-party suppliers.
• Ensure appropriate and safe use of material handling equipment.

• You have at least 5-7 years of experience in supermarket and grocery retail.
• You are someone energized by the unknown and look forward to learning each day on the job.
• Good communication skills and always like to be hands-on with several tools.
• Additionally, you have robust interpersonal and intercultural skills.
• Language skills: fluent English and Arabic would be highly advantageous.
