Revenue Accountant

Job Description

Target Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary:

• Analyse, review, and post the group revenue transactions to ensure compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
• Review and authorize customer credit notes, assessing the financial impact on both the income statement and statement of financial position.
• Conduct reconciliations and analytical reviews of key general ledger accounts, including contract assets, contract liabilities, Accounts Receivables and other financial income.
• Prepare and present revenue performance and accounts receivable analysis to the reporting manager.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and proper documentation of project milestones.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and collections performance, identifying potential credit risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and enhance financial dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI and ERP systems to support data-driven decision-making.
• Prepare the working for the impairment of the receivable balances by using the ECL model as per IFRS 9.
• Preparing the monthly AR section reports such as invoice wise collection report, Contract wise accrual report and other ad hoc reports related to the AR Function

Skills & Experience

Responsibilities include:

• Well versed in Accounting & Financial reporting standards IFRS
• Experience in various audit compliance processes both internal and external
• Experience in SAP application
• Able to analyze financial results and provide insights to management on progress and variances
• Forward thinking attitude towards improvements is essential
• Knowledge of revenue recognition policies, resolving revenue related issues
• Experience in VAT and Corporate taxation.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant/Master's in finance (big 4 audit experience an added advantage)

Preferred Expertise: 5 Years with SAP experience
