Position Overview:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Orthopaedic & Neurosurgeon Veterinarian to join our esteemed team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically managing complex orthopaedic
and neurological conditions, including advanced musculoskeletal injuries and disorders of the client.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive orthopaedic and neurological examinations, including lameness
and neurological assessments.
Diagnose and manage complex orthopaedic, spinal, and neurological conditions.
Develop and implement detailed surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
Perform advanced surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
Fracture repair (internal and external fixation)
TPLO, TTA, and other cruciate ligament stabilization techniques
Patellar luxation repair
Femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO)
Total hip replacement (THR)
Arthrotomy and advanced joint surgeries
Spinal surgeries (including hemilaminectomy and other decompressive procedures
Management of intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)
Surgical management of complex trauma and neurological emergencies
Interpret and utilize diagnostic imaging, including radiographs, CT, and MRI, for surgical planning and postoperative assessment.
Ensure the highest standards of surgical asepsis, patient safety, anaesthesia coordination, and multimodal pain management.
Provide comprehensive peri-operative and post-operative care, including neurological monitoring, rehabilitation guidance, and long-term follow-up.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners regarding diagnosis, surgical
options, risks, prognosis, and aftercare.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical and surgical records.
Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, veterinary technicians, nurses, and support staff.
Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations, hospital protocols, and professional
standards.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopaedic and neurosurgical techniques and best practices.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
Equivalency letter or valid MOCCAE License is considered an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in advanced orthopaedic and/or neurosurgery.
Demonstrated proficiency in performing advanced orthopaedic, spinal, and neurological
surgical procedures, including total hip replacement.
Strong clinical judgment, surgical precision, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
Fluency in English.
