Growth Operator

Job Description

Ecomma is a rapidly growing private equity firm with proven expertise in acquiring ecommerce brands

worldwide. We excel in a range of areas that drive genuine results and online growth, including:

  • Value Creation: Strategically investing to maximize the potential of our acquired brands.
  • Operational Excellence: Leveraging best practices and a seasoned team to optimize brand
operations.
  • Sustainable Growth: Prioritizing long-term success with sustainable practices.
  • Data-driven Marketing Strategies: Using data to tailor marketing campaigns for optimal reach and

conversion.

We asked our current team members to tell us what they love about working at Ecomma, and here's whatthey shared:

  • Supporting top-tier brands that truly make a difference in the world.
  • Knowing the impact of our expertise (check out our success stories).
  • Connecting with C-level executives and leading e-commerce businesses.
  • Working in the world's most progressive industry at a firm that prioritizes personal development.
  • Enjoying a great atmosphere with fun team outings.
  • Having the opportunity for substantial compensation, including lucrative bonuses.

As Growth Operator, you will be the operational engine behind a set of Ecomma's portfolio brands. Your mission is simple: keep every brand under your care running cleanly day to day, find and fix what is breaking, ship the optimizations that move conversion, and execute the growth direction set for each brand with speed, judgment, and accountability.

This is a hands-on, multi-brand operator role. You will take ownership of daily store performance, on-site optimization, product strategy execution, store-level CRO, and cross-functional coordination with supply chain, customer service, and media buying.
You will work closely with the leadership of the customer success function and your media buyer counterpart to ensure each brand moves in the right direction commercially. We are looking for a Growth Operator with real, hands-on DTC experience.
Someone who has run Shopify stores end to end, who understands revenue, margin, and conversion, who knows how to spot what is leaking and fix it without being told, and who uses AI tools daily to operate at a level that used to require a small team.

Are you the next Growth Operator ready to scale Ecomma's portfolio brands to the next level

What you will do
  • Own Daily Brand Performance: Take full ownership of the daily operating health of every brand on

your desk. Track revenue, sessions, conversion rate, AOV, and refund rate by brand, identify what

is moving and what is breaking before anyone has to ask, and act on it the same day.
  • Drive Store-Level CRO: Spot conversion opportunities across PDPs, hero sections, upsells,

bundles, and checkout. Ship tests on a rolling cadence, read the results honestly, and feed winners

back into the funnel. Treat every brand's conversion rate as a moving target, not a static metric.
  • Execute Product and Pricing Strategy: Push the SKUs prioritized for each brand, source simple
complementary products through the supply chain team, retire SKUs that no longer make sense,
and protect margin by monitoring landed cost against selling price. Flag margin erosion early.
  • Own Store Operations and Stack Discipline: Keep the store, app stack, theme, and integrations

clean and working. Install, configure, and retire apps based on whether they actually move the

number. Catch broken flows before customers do.
  • Coordinate Across the Pod and Specialists: Work tightly with your media buyer on creative

direction, product priorities, and ad spend pacing. Route supplier and inventory issues to the supply

chain team with the math already done. Loop in customer service when ticket patterns point to a

store or product issue. Hand off heavy code work to the dev team rather than getting stuck on it.
  • Spot and Surface Issues Early: Notice when a bestseller is trending toward stockout, when a new

app has broken an upsell flow, when refunds are clustering on one SKU, when CS tickets are

spiking, when a competitor has shipped something worth testing. Bring these to the table with a

recommendation, not just an observation.
  • Maintain Brand Documentation: Keep a living context document for every brand on your desk that

captures current state, ICP, brand voice, offer architecture, top SKUs, operational quirks, and active

priorities. This is what allows the wider team to move fast without losing the plot on any individual

brand.
  • Implement AI-First Workflows: Use AI tools daily to compress the work. PDP copy, email and

popup copy, customer review summaries, competitor research, CRO test ideation, internal

automations. Treat AI as an apprentice you direct, not a replacement for judgment, and ship sharp

output rather than AI slop.
  • Report Performance Cleanly: Deliver a weekly performance update on every brand under your

care with a clear narrative on what moved, what broke, what you shipped, and what is next. No

padding, no activity reports, no hiding bad news.
  • Take Initiative Inside the Lane: Execute the growth direction set for each brand without waiting to

be told what to do next. Bring tests, ideas, and concerns forward proactively. Know which decisions

are yours to make and which need a second pair of eyes, and escalate cleanly when needed.

We operate using Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion. Thus, familiarity and hands-on experience with these platforms are important for this role. The candidate should be fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong operational instinct, attention to detail, fast execution, and high ownership are essential. Tools in use may include Shopify (and on some brands Magento or WooCommerce), analytics and attribution platforms, email and SMS platforms, supply and inventory tracking systems, project and task management platforms, and AI platforms that improve output, speed, and operating efficiency.

What you bring to the table
  • 1 to 3 years of experience operating DTC ecommerce brands end to end, ideally on Shopify, either
through your own store, brands inside an agency or holding company, or a mix.
  • Proven hands-on experience with PDP optimization, A/B testing, store-level CRO, app

configuration, theme tweaks, pricing changes, and product strategy execution. You have personally

shipped this work, not just managed people who did.
  • A strong commercial mindset. You understand revenue, contribution margin, AOV, ROAS, and

refund rate, and you know how each lever connects to the others. You do not talk about revenue

without talking about margin.
  • Comfortable managing multiple brands or projects at the same time without dropping any of them.
You have your own system for staying on top of all of them.
  • An AI-first mindset. You use AI tools daily for copywriting, customer research, competitor research,

CRO ideation, and internal automation. If you are not already operating this way, this role will not

work.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in spreadsheets. You build your own reporting and you can

read a Shopify analytics dashboard and tell a clear story about what is working, what is failing, and

what to test next.
  • Strong follow-through and cross-functional coordination skills. Able to work with media buyers,
supply chain, customer service, and dev without getting lost in the noise.
  • A hands-on mentality. You are willing to dig into the detail, fix issues directly, and drive
accountability for the brands under your care.
  • Calm under pressure, but not soft on accountability. High standards, strong ownership, and the
ability to keep multiple brands moving forward in parallel.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to conducting business with integrity.

The position will be filled immediately for the right candidate. This is an in-office role in Dubai. Candidates must be based in the UAE or willing to relocate.

Working at Ecomma is more than just a job. If you believe in seizing the present to enhance your future,

you're in the right place. Combining hard work with the right atmosphere is our golden formula. We don't

operate with a 9-6 mindset, allowing you to manage your own working hours. We've found this approach

yields the best results. Ecomma: a private equity firm you can count on.

Please note: Proficiency in English is required.

Does this opportunity excite you Are you eager to dive in and unleash your operational mind If you want

to be a part of the Ecomma team, send your motivation letter and CV addressed to the respective job title

application.

If this role isn't a fit for you but you know someone it might suit, please share it with them. We'd greatly appreciate it!
