Joinery Site Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Joinery Site Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in executing and supervising joinery works on construction or interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the on-site implementation of joinery itemsensuring high-quality workmanship, technical accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and timelines.

The Joinery Site Engineer will act as a link between the design/factory team and site execution, coordinating between internal departments, subcontractors, and client representatives.

• Review and interpret joinery/shop drawings and ensure site work is aligned with the approved drawings and specifications.
• Oversee the installation of various joinery components such as doors, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, vanities, paneling, reception counters, etc.
• Coordinate and resolve technical site issues during installation.

1. Coordination & Planning

• Coordinate with factory production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to site.
• Liaise with the MEP, civil, and other finishing trades to ensure smooth execution and sequencing of works.
• Attend site coordination meetings and report progress, issues, and requirements.

1. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure installation is carried out with strict adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where necessary.
• Provide technical guidance to supervisors and site teams to achieve precise and neat finishes.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site progress reports, material usage reports, and installation checklists.
• Maintain updated documentation for inspections, approvals, and correspondence.
• Assist the Project Manager with preparing as-built drawings and project close-out documents.

1. Health & Safety

• Ensure all safety regulations and site protocols are followed by the workforce.
• Identify and report any unsafe practices or risks.
• Participate in toolbox talks and promote safety culture on site.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in joinery or interior fit-out projects as a Site Engineer.
• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of joinery installation methods, materials, finishes, and hardware.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and working with AutoCAD or other design tools.
• Ability to manage site execution independently and solve technical issues quickly.
• Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and basic safety requirements on construction sites.
