Role overview
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Contracts Director to oversee all construction-related activities for major transport infrastructure projects. This role requires a strategic leader with deep experience in the UAE market, capable of driving execution excellence, ensuring compliance, and managing diverse stakeholders.
Key responsibilities- Actively engaging with existing Zutari clients to position for downstream supervision works.
- Lead all construction-related activities for transport infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee site teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications, health and safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies (including RTA), ensuring proactive stakeholder management.
- Provide strategic input during design development, development of construction tender documentation and constructability reviews.
- Drive compliance with UAE regulatory standards and RTA guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks; lead resolution of site issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage project reporting, progress tracking, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and technical leads.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across construction teams.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role overseeing major transport infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record working with large developers and transport authorities across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Experience with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations, procurement, and health & safety frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of contract management, including contract administration, compliance, claims mitigation, claims evaluation and resolution, working with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC).
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary site teams and contractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
