Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Officer plays a critical role in the effective delivery and administration of training programs across the bank. This role manages the full spectrum of L&D operational tasks including onboarding, logistics coordination, eLearning and LMS administration, data tracking and reporting, vendor coordination, invoice processing, and compliance monitoring.The Officer also supports employee development initiatives such as job shadowing, mentoring, national development programs, and internal learning events. By ensuring seamless execution and accurate recordkeeping of all learning activities, the role contributes to enhancing employee capability and supporting organizational learning goals in line with regulatory standards.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
A. Manage the end-to-end induction process for new joiners, including sending invites, booking training rooms, organizing induction materials, conducting office tours, coordinating with presenters, arranging catering, logistics and program evaluation.B. Send welcome emails from CBI Academy for new joiners and conduct product induction sessions.
C. Track the completion of mandatory onboarding eLearning courses as well as other mandatory eLearning completions and escalate as needed to ensure compliance.
D. Oversee and maintain the LMS to ensure all staff details, courses, pathways, and new joiner updates, exit staff are current. Publish courses, create learning pathways, and monitor completion rates on LMS. Act as the primary contact for internal support and troubleshooting on the eLearning platform.
E. Upload training records on LMS and manage escalation emails for incomplete training.
F. Manage logistics for in-person and virtual training sessions, including sending invites, tracking attendance, and maintaining records for compliance and audits.
G. Roll out the Emirates Institute of Finance training calendar, enroll candidates, monitor attendance, and send escalation emails for absentees.
H. Manage the end-to-end Brown Bag sessions, including sending invites, booking training rooms, organizing materials, catering, IT support and program evaluation.
I. Manage thinking lab design, maintenance and booking
J. Coordinate job shadowing programs, coaching, mentoring and employee development plans in terms of completion tracking and escalation
K. Support the Ethraa UAE national program by managing candidate registration, orientation, training monitoring, and program closure.
L. Build and maintain relationships with external training providers, managing contracts, course schedules, and feedback.
M. Collect and analyze training evaluation data and provide regular reports on engagement, usage, and impact to management.
N. Maintain L&D MIS and record physical attendance sheets for audits.
O. Take full ownership of the end-to-end payment process for all L&D-related expenses, including preparing invoices in the banks required format, raising Purchase Requests (PRs), coordinating approvals, following up to ensure timely payouts, and managing corporate card reconciliations. Act as the single point of accountability for all L&D payments.
P. Assist in creating, updating, and delivering training materials, including handouts, manuals, and presentations.
Q. Provide guidance and support to line managers in addressing specific training needs within their teams.
R. Undertake additional L&D and HR duties as directed by the Head of Learning & Development and L&D Manager.
Education:
Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or any other related field.
Experience:
1 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
(CIPD) Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development or Accredited HR qualifications.
