Job Title: IT Procurement SpecialistLocation: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary
We are seeking a technically proficient and strategically capable IT Procurement Specialist with a strong academic background in Procurement/Supply Chain or a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science. The role involves managing end-to-end IT procurement processes, negotiating vendor contracts, assessing technical compatibility, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Execution- Develop and implement IT procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers and emerging technologies.
- Manage procurement of hardware, software, cloud services, and IT consulting.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on technical and commercial criteria.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and licensing agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with IT teams to understand requirements.
- Assess solution compatibility, scalability, and integration.
- Participate in technical reviews and pilot testing.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Mitigate risks related to data security, licensing, and vendor reliability.
- Maintain procurement documentation and audit trails.
- Support IT budget planning and forecasting.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement or a technical function.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud platforms, licensing, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with procurement tools such as Oracle Fusion, SAP Ariba, or Coupa.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: CPSM certification.
