Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Hygiene & Safety - Officer to oversee food safety and hygiene standards across production, operations, and service areas. The ideal candidate will ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations, internal protocols, and hygiene best practices to safeguard public health and maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise food safety and hygiene practices across all stages from purchasing and receiving to production and consumption.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering, Operations, etc.) to ensure legal compliance with food safety standards.
• Conduct monthly hygiene audits in F&B areas and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
• Maintain and monitor CCP (Critical Control Points) and OPRP (Operational Prerequisite Program) records.
• Oversee personal hygiene and grooming of all food handlers and coordinate with HR for Occupational Health Card tracking.
• Investigate food safety-related customer complaints, prepare reports, and maintain complaint logs.
• Ensure daily hygiene standards across all F&B outlets and kitchens.
• Perform quarterly inspections of outsourced food vendors and trucks, preparing detailed reports.
• Support food hygiene compliance during exhibitions, events, and special functions.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Microbiology, Food Science, Life Sciences, or Biotechnology (Bachelors in Food Hygiene/Food Tech/Microbiology preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in 5-star hotels, catering, food manufacturing, or hospitality sectors.
• Prior experience in a convention/exhibition center is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with online audit systems.
• Certified in Food Hygiene & Safety Level 3 (Level 4 preferred).
• HACCP / ISO 22000 and Internal HACCP Auditor training is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and audit/reporting skills.
