• Conduct training needs analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
• Work with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments.
• Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage, deliver and evaluate learning and development programs.
• Measure the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes.
• Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods.
• Participate in budget development and program planning (such as HR improvement initiatives).

A successful 'Sr L&D Specialist' should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Learning and Development Specialist ideally within the retail industry.
• Strong understanding of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proficient in written and spoken English.
• Strong decision-making skills.
