Job Description

Job Summary: Pipeline & Placing Boom Supervisor in the ready-mix industry typically involves overseeing and coordinating the operation of pipeline systems and placing booms used to deliver and place ready-mix concrete at construction sites.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

ؠPlacing Boom Erection & Setup.

ؠAssemble and install concrete placing booms according to project specifications and safety regulations.

ؠSecure the placing boom to designated structures such as slabs, columns, or independent towers.

ؠInspect and test components, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and functionality.

ؠConcrete Pipeline Installation.

ؠPlan, lay out, and erect concrete pipeline systems from the pump to the placing area.

ؠEnsure proper connections, alignment, and secure fittings to prevent leaks and blockages.

ؠMaintain, repair, and replace worn-out or damaged pipeline sections as needed.

ؠFollow all health and safety regulations related to working at heights, lifting operations, and heavy equipment handling.

ؠConduct pre-operation inspections and risk assessments before starting erection work.

ؠEnsure proper bracing, anchoring, and securing of equipment to prevent accidents.

ؠOperational Support & Maintenance.

ؠAssist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to placing boom and pipeline operation.

ؠPerform regular maintenance and lubrication of moving parts to ensure smooth operation.

ؠCollaborate with concrete pump operators and site engineers to ensure efficient concrete flow.

ؠTeam Coordination & Reporting.

ؠWork closely with site supervisors, crane operators, and other construction personnel.

ؠDocument work progress, report any issues, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

ؠProvide training and guidance to junior team members on best practices and safety protocols.

Job Specifications: (Qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience required to perform Job)

ؠProven experience in concrete placing boom and pipeline erection.

ؠStrong knowledge of mechanical assembly, rigging, and hydraulic systems.

ؠAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.

ؠCertification in working at heights, rigging, or heavy equipment operation (preferred).

ؠStrong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

ؠPhysical stamina and ability to work in demanding construction environments.
