CAD Designer (Events)

Reporting To: 2D & 3D Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Freelance AutoCAD Draughtsman to support our events and exhibitions projects. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, ensuring design feasibility and compliance. This role requires working closely with project, production, and technical teams to deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines.

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings: layouts, sections, elevations, RCPs, MEP layouts, furniture, fire safety, and AV integration plans.
• Maintain organized documentation with standardized file naming and version control.
• Prepare comprehensive drawing packs for projects, tracking changes and incorporating feedback.
• Collaborate with 2D/3D designers, project managers, and technical teams to ensure design alignment and feasibility.
• Overlay supplier drawings (scenic, tent, power, AC) to detect clashes and discrepancies.
• Ensure drawings meet standards, quality checks, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Strong knowledge of fit-out detailing and MEP coordination.
• Familiarity with AV planning (rigging, lighting, audio, video).
• Event/exhibition industry experience is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with your own laptop/software.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
