Position: Estimation & QS Engineer – GRC Factory
Job Purpose
The Estimation & QS Engineer will be responsible for managing estimation, quantity surveying, cost analysis, and commercial activities related to GRC production and installation projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, project measurements, and supporting commercial and project coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for GRC projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements for estimation purposes.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and material calculations.
- Analyze labor, production, material, and installation costs.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams for pricing inputs.
- Prepare tender submissions, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and budget utilization.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for cost optimization.
- Support contract administration and commercial documentation.
- Prepare project progress reports, payment applications, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and commercial requirements.
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in estimation and quantity surveying.
- Experience in GRC, precast, façade, or related manufacturing/construction industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation processes.
- Good understanding of production, installation, and project coordination activities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation/QS software.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and project commercial activities effectively.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and market rates.
